On January 15, 2020, the 2020 China-International Energy Agency Science and Technology Cooperation Workshop was successfully held in Beijing. The purpose of this conference is to promote the scientific and technological cooperation between China Science and Technology and the International Energy Agency (IEA) in the new era, to further strengthen information sharing and experience exchange, and to achieve the goal of "integrating domestic power and sharing international resources".

An Fengquan, Deputy Director of the International Department of the National Energy Administration, Chen Linhao, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Yang Xuemei, Director of the International Organization and Changeable Cooperation Division of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Zhu Xuantong, Deputy Director of the International Department of the National Energy Administration, International More than 40 cadres from the International Organization and Changeable Cooperation Division of the Cooperation Division were led by Jiayu and other TCP representatives from China. The meeting was chaired by Chen Guifeng, deputy dean of the Coal Science and Technology Research Institute (IEA Cooperative Liaison Office).


International Energy Agency expert Simone Landolina attended the conference and gave a special report entitled IEA's work on Clean Energy Innovation and engagement through Technology Collaboration Programmes (TCPs).

Niu Xiaohua, executive deputy secretary-general of China Town Heating Association, attended the meeting and made a report on the "International Energy Agency Technical Cooperation Project IEA-DHC 2019 Work Summary" report.

She said: After joining the IEA-DHC, the association has participated in the Executive Committee many times and made special reports to increase China's influence in the international regional heating field and at the same time increase China's influence in the world. China's involvement in the IEA-DHC and its role will play a significant role in improving our voice in the area of regional energy and clean heating, and in increasing its impact on rulemaking.



2019年主要进展和成果 Association's participation in IEA-DHC 2019 main progress and achievements

In May 2019, participated in the 72nd Executive Committee meeting of the 39th European Thermal Power Conference and the International Energy Agency Regional Heating and Refrigeration Technical Cooperation Project (IEA-DHC). Vice Chairman Liu Rong and Professor Xia Jianjun introduced the optimization and diversification options of China's district heating system to international counterparts, and emphasized the significance and prospects of using waste heat for heating. Associate Professor Xia Jianjun, on behalf of China, gave a keynote speech entitled "Chinese Industrial Waste Heat for Urban Heating" at the 39th European Thermal Power Conference, which was well received.

On September 18, 2019, the China Urban Heating Association and the International Energy Agency co-hosted the "International Conference on Clean Heating and the 73rd IEA-DHC Executive Committee Meeting" in Beijing. This is also the first time that the Executive Committee has been held in China. The conference focused on "national standards", "regional energy policies in various countries", "district heating and cooling", "cogeneration technology", "technology, policies and future development trends of China's heating industry", "energy low-carbon development prospect "And other topics.

On September 19, 2019, the IEA-DHC Executive Committee held a special seminar on "China Clean Heating 2025". The IEA-DHC executive committee members from 10 countries including Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, South Korea, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and China discussed the "China Clean Heating 2025" heating mode developed by Tsinghua University.

The China Town Heating Association led the joint application with Tsinghua University and Beijing Thermal Power Group for the "Key Intergovernmental Project on International Scientific and Technological Innovation Cooperation-International Energy Agency (IEA) Cooperation Project" of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The project has entered the approval phase of the project.

It is determined that the 2020 DHC International Academic Conference will be held in Beijing, then China will once again become a high-level academic sharing platform in the international DHC field, and contribute to the development of the world's DHC cause.
